Swan Meadow Nurseries are rooted amongst the Saddleworth rural landscape and these foundations enhance our approach to outdoor learning, being naturally drawn and joined with nature.
The outdoors is where children can most be themselves. With minimal restrictions, there is something about the outdoors that is exciting and exhilarating for them; a form of escapism. Our approach ensures children are naturally drawn to captivating play that promotes cognitive, physical, social and emotional wellbeing, offering the necessary conditions to flourish and learn.
The woodland approach offers the children an opportunity to display hands-on learning through each area of the early year’s curriculum. Swan Meadow stimulates natural learning outdoors by enhancing children’s play with natural resources to promote creativity and imagination, and allow for positive outdoor experiences for children to be active, take risks and build resilience.
